CEBU CITY— The Metro Cebu Water District (MCWD) is campaigning for a plastic-free Sinulog through its #BYOB or Bring Your Own Bottle campaign by setting up nine drinking water stations in Cebu City for the Sinulog festivities.

Six of these stations will be serving cold water to all devotees, guests and participants in partnership with Kooler Industries Inc. which will provide the water dispensers.

MCWD advised devotees to bring their own water bottles or tumblers, and make Sinulog 2020 environment-friendly, especially during the solemn procession and grand parade on January 19.

MCWD’s #BYOB or Bring Your Own Bottle campaign will be providing free water to help reduce plastic use and keep Cebu clean by keeping garbage at a minimum. MCWD’s #BYOB campaign will help the environment.

Water stations will be put up along Gen. Maxilom Ave. beside St. Theresa’s College; along Osmeña Blvd. fronting the Department of Health (DOH)-7); Bradford Church, Harrison Park; Sony Service Center and across Camp Sergio Osmeña.

The other water stations for the Grand Procession will be beside the Sun.Star Cebu building along Don Pedro Cui St., across the old Sacred Heart School campus and in front of MS MotoSuit on Gen. Maxilom Ave.

For the Solemn Foot Procession on Saturday January 18, the water stations will be on Osmeña Blvd. fronting the Department of Health, Harrison Park and across Camp Sergio Osmeña and one beside USC South Campus.

MCWD will also be providing free water for out-of-towners in the Devotee City located at a vacant lot near the South Road Properties.

MCWD will also be providing water for drinking and food preparation, and for the devotees’ hygiene needs for bathrooms and comfort rooms so they will have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
