DAVAO CITY -- President Duterte will be leading the commemoration of the 123rd death anniversary of national hero Dr. Jose Rizal in the city Monday morning.

This was confirmed by Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go in an interview with the local reporters.
Go said Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez will join with the President in the ceremonial wreath laying at the Rizal Park here scheduled at 8 a.m.
"He decided to celebrate here in his hometown because he will be going to the earthquake victims in M'lang and Digos City Davao del Sur," he said.
The Senator said after the program, President Duterte will go to M'lang National High School in the town of M'lang, Cotabato Province, to meet the earthquake victims there at 11:00a.m.
After the meeting in Cotabato Province, the President will go to Digos City, Davao del Sur to turn-over the calamity assistance to the victims of the province.
Go also said after the turn-over of assistance, Duterte will attend the 60th Founding Anniversary of Cor Jesu College, also in Digos City.
