'Tisoy' leaves 5 dead in Bicol

CAMP OLA, Albay - At least five persons were killed during the devastation of typhoon "Tisoy" in Bicol on Monday night.

Based on a situation report from the Police Regional Office 5 (PRO-5), the fatalities were from Libmanan, Goa and Pili towns in Camarines Sur and two in Sorsogon, Sorsogon.

It was reported that the casualties in Bulan, Sorsogon, and Goa and Pili died due to drowning. The fatality in Libmanan died because of electrocution, and the other Sorsogon casualty succumbed while in an evacuation center.

Dong Mendoza, provincial information officer of Sorsogon told the Manila Bulletin that, according to the Sorsogon Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (SPDRRMO), there was no report of any casualty in Sorsogon City.
