In his prayer, Tagle asked God to keep families, especially the poor, safe from harm.

He also prayed for God to calm the rains and winds brought about by the typhoon that is currently affecting different parts of the country.

Meanwhile, Caritas Manila called for donations for the typhoon victims.

“Let’s help our brothers and sisters affected by Typhoon Tisoy,” the social action arm of the Archdiocese of Manila said in a Facebook post.

Caritas Manila said immediate needs of the victims are foood such as rice, munggo, sugar, salt, pancit malunggay/kalabasa or bihon, canned vegetables and dried fish.
