Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco led the launch of two child-minding rooms at the Navotas Vocational Training and Assessment (NAVOTAAS) Institute-Annex I at Barangay North Bay Boulevard South, Dagat-Dagatan, and the NAVOTAAS Institute-Annex II at Barangay Daanghari.

The child-minding rooms are areas where parents, who are taking technical-vocational courses at the institutes, can leave their children to play.

“A number of Navoteños wish to enroll in tech-voc courses but unable to do so because they have no one to attend to their kids. By having child-minding rooms, parents would be able to join classes knowing their children are safe and cared for,” Tiangco said in a statement.

The city government also inaugurated the third floor of the NAVOTAAS Institute-Annex I extension. The first two levels of the facility were donated by the Chinese-Filipino Business Club, Inc.

The NAVOTAAS Institute Annex-I extension will be offering courses on tailoring and dressmaking.

The Pescador Park was also opened at Barangay Bangkulasi. It features a basketball half-court and a mini-amphitheater.
