DPWH announces road repairs in Metro Manila this weekend

Several sections of roads in Metro Manila will undergo concrete reblocking over the weekend, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced on Friday.

The road reblocking will be conducted in seven road sections in Metro Manila starting at 11 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22 until 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 25.

DPWH – National Capital Region (NCR) Director Ador G. Canlas said the affected roads in Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) would include the southbound direction of approach B of P. Tuazon Flyover to approach A of Boni Serrano Flyover, 2nd innermost lane, 2nd lane beside railway; and the northbound direction after Aurora Boulevard to New York Street, 3rd lane from sidewalk.

Canlas also identified the following affected roads in Quezon City includes the southbound direction of A. Bonifacio Avenue between 11th Avenue to J. Manuel Street, 2nd lane from sidewalk; and G. Araneta from Bayanin Road intersection; at the westbound direction of General Luis Street from Rebisco Road to SB Diversion Road; and Elliptical Road after Maharlika Street, 8th lane from outer sidewalk; and at the northbound direction of Katipunan Avenue/Circumferential Road 5 (C5) from after C. P. Garcia, 3rd lane from center island.

DPWH said the motorists are advised to take the alternate routes to avoid expected build-up at construction areas.
