A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck Sarangani, Davao Occidental at 1:14 p.m. Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

The earthquake was tectonic in origin and its epicenter traced 260 kilometers southeast of Sarangani, Davao Occidental with a depth of 47 kilometers.
Phivolcs said it was not expected to cause any damage to property. No casualties were reported as a result of the tremor.
