3 men yield P2.7-M illegal drugs


Joint anti-drug operatives of the Pasay City Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested three alleged drug personalities on Wednesday, who yielded P2.7 million worth of illegal drugs.

PDEA Regional Director III Joel Plaza identified the suspects as Christian San Ramon De Luna, 19, computer shop attendant, who was the subject of the buy bust operation; Marvin Florendo Samoranos, 21, and John Christopher Oliveros Macawili, 20, waiter. All are residents of Manila.

Investigation showed that the three were arrested at a gasoline station at the southbound area of EDSA, Brgy. 144 of Pasay City after they negotiated with PDEA agents posing as buyers.

Confiscated from the suspects were four packs of transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, weighing more or less 400 grams, with a value of  P2,720,000.

They also recovered one Yamaha NMax motorcycle, two pieces of analog type cellular phones and the buy-bust money.

The suspects will be facing charges in violation of Section 5 of Article II of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
