“Masyado pang maaga para mawala ka.”

Local folk pop band Ben&Ben has dropped another chart-topper—”Masyado Pang Maaga,” a song that talks about the pain of losing a significant other.

But for one live jam session, the band takes fans to a new horizon, giving another meaning to the song as they raise awareness about the current situation of Pasig River. In partnership with National Commission for Culture and the Arts’ Taga-Alog, the campaign aims to promote Pasig River as a space for cultural identity through arts. Ben&Ben did a one take jam of their new song while in a boat crossing the said river.

“Thanks for the massive love for our new song,” Ben&Ben said in a Facebook post. “We wanted to pay it forward by supporting efforts to clean the Pasig River, partnering with the NCCA Taga-Alog for this video.”

The band also encouraged their followers and fans to support the cause. “Isa silang grupo na gumagamit ng art para magising at ma-inspire tayong buhayin ang ating ilog. Let’s support them. (NCCA Taga-Alog is a group that uses art to wake us up and inspires us that we need to revive our river).”
