ILIGAN CITY - A tornado that hit part of Marawi City earlier Monday destroyed several houses which include the roofs of Marawi city hall where the Sangguniang Panlungsod hall is located.

"Around 2:20PM Yung Ipo-ipo dumating as per information from ERN (Early Response Network) Lanao del Sur", said ERN head Saripada L. Pacasum, Jr.
A school in area 5 Temporary Shelter was damaged, along with the roofing of a building beside Amai Pakpak Hospital and a building in the City Hall, the report said.
No reported casualties so far.
The Marawi City Disaster Office is conducting a RDANA (Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis) to assess the extent of damages in the area, said Pacasum.
