Hosaka retained as SC spokesperson

Chief Justice Diosdado M. Peralta announced on Sunday (November 3) the retention of Atty. Brian Keith F. Hosaka as Supreme Court (SC) spokesperson and head of the public information office (PIO).

The announcement was done by Peralta during his meeting with deans of law schools in the country at the start of the four-Sunday 2019 bar examinations at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Manila.

Hosaka has the rank of assistant court administrator.

He was first appointed to the post by then Chief Justice Lucas P. Bersamin as permanent replacement to Court Administrator Jose Midas P. Marquez who took over temporarily the post of spokesperson and PIO chief when then Spokesperson Theodore O. Te resigned.

Both Marquez and Hosaka were law clerks in the office of the now retired SC Associate Justice Josue N. Bellosillo.

Prior to his appointment as PIO chief, Hosaka was founding partner of the Paner Hosaka & Ypil Attorneys-at-Law. He also served as deputy general counsel of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.

He obtained his AB Interdisciplinary Studies (Merit Scholar) and Juris Doctor degrees from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1993 and 1998, respectively.
