Bulacan girl to vie for Int’l Kids Ambassadors in Indonesia


A 10-year-old student from Bulacan who takes care of more than 30 cats and dogs will represent the Philippines in the International Kids Ambassadors 2019 contest in Bali, Indonesia on Oct. 29-Nov. 4.

Denise Irish Repulleza, Grade 5 student at Genesis Integrated Science Academy, said that she has been joining pageants and modelling search since she was 7 years old with the full support of her mother Jayla.

Denise met select members of the pageant press at the Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City and shared her dreams and preparations for her first international beauty contest.

“I enjoy modelling and beauty pageants. Aside from beauty contests, someday I would also like to become a lawyer or veterinarian,” said Denise who has adopted more than 30 cats and dogs. She is being managed by Josephus Canabuan Casting Agency.

Her mother said that she makes sure that her only child will not take her studies for granted.

Imelda Cruz-Tagura, president of the school, said that she is considerate of child achievers.

Among those who attended the meet-and-greet event were members of the glam team of Denise, including fashion designers Robert Gallardo III and Juvy Pantilanan. (Robert R. Requintina)
