Malacañang on Friday disclosed that President Duterte has been wearing a personal wearable air purifier necklace to protect himself from diseases.

Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo made the statement after Duterte was seen wearing the necklace when he welcomed Indian President Ram Nath Kovind to the Palace Friday afternoon.
"That is an air purifier," Panelo told reporters when asked about the necklace.
"Para (So) he will be protected from persons within his proximity who have coughs and colds," he added.
This was not the first time Duterte was seen wearing the apparatus. He also wore the necklace in a business conference in Manila last week and during the launch of a coal plant power in Taguig.
He was also seen wearing the air purifier during the 42nd Cabinet meeting on October 11.
The President’s health condition has sparked concerns about his fitness to lead the country.
Duterte has revealed he had undergone colonoscopy and endoscopy and that he has been undergoing regular blood tests.
He also previously admitted that he was suffering from Buerger’s disease, migraine, and back pains because he smoked heavily when he was young.
