The Commission on Appointments (CA) confirmed on Wednesday the appointments of nine ranking officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

They were confirmed based on the recommendation of Rep. Luis A. Ferrer IV, chairman of the CA national committee.
Confirmed in a plenary session presided by Senate President Vicente C. Sotto III, concurrent CA chairman, was Ferdinand M. Cartujano as major general.
The CA also confirmed as brigadier generals were Ernesto S Levanza, Adonis R. Bajao, Rodolfo B. Lavadia Jr., Vener Odilon D. Mariano, Pablo R. Rustria Jr., and Ferdinand M. Friginal.
Also confirmed was Jose Ambrosio as commodore, and Don L. Abalon as colonel.
All were present in the plenary session except Rustria who is with the party of President Duterte in his Russian state visit.
