Around P1.3 million worth of illegal drugs was seized by authorities from four suspected big-time drug peddlers during a buy-bust operation in Pasig City, Friday night.

Colonel Moises Villaceran Jr, Pasig Police chief, identified the suspects as Mario “Mar” Bien, 51; Renesar “Esar” Bernardo, 26; Erwin “Win” Cruz, 27; and Sigwald “Sig” Perolina, 33. All are residents of Pasig City.

A team composed of the Station Intelligence Unit, Station Drug Enforcement Unit and Station Operations Unit conducted the drug sting near the parking lot of a fast food chain in Barangay Malinao, Pasig around 9 p.m.

According to Villaceran, the four suspects arrived aboard a red Toyota Innova. Then, the police poseur buyer boarded the suspect’s vehicle and transacted with them.

After receiving the P300,000 marked money, the four suspects were apprehended by policemen.

Villaceran said a total of 200 grams of suspected shabu worth about P1.3 million was seized from the suspects.

Villaceran said Bien was included in the Pasig City Police drug watch-list, saying he has been the prime target of the city police for quite some time now.

He said Bien was pinpointed by his drug runner who was earlier nabbed by police in a separate drug sting in Barangay Pinagbuhatan a week ago.

The alleged runner negotiated with Bien through his cellphone where he was told that a buyer wanted to purchase illegal drugs. Bien then agreed to meet the supposed customer, but little did he know that he was already dealing with the police.
