New OTS chief to assume post

Retired Philippine Air Force Lt. Gen. Raul Del Rosario, officially start his assignment as chief of the Office of Transport Security (OTS) on Monday, Sept 9, 2019. Del Rosario received last week his appointment to replace OTS Administrator Arturo Evangelista.

President Rodrigo Duterte signed Del Rosario’s appointment papers on 28 August 2019.

As head of the OTS, Del Rosario is tasked to lead the country’s national transport security programs for all public transportation hubs nationwide.

During his stint at the Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC), Del Rosario was also designated as the DOTr – Transportation Security Administration (DOTr-TSA) Focal Person, providing support to the improvements in the security operations at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) that led to the lifting of the Public Notice issued by the United States Department of Homeland Security (US-DHS) on 08 August 2019.
