Irate Isko discovers MPD station without a ranking officer in surprise visit

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso went on his night prowling ways again, and, this time, berated policemen from Manila Police District (MPD) Station 9 for failing to notice an illegal terminal near the Ospital ng Maynila early Sunday.

As the Manila Mayor was doing his rounds, he noticed that several tricycles were lined up near the public hospital.
“Ospital ng Maynila yan e bakit may terminal ng tricycle? (That’s the Ospital ng Maynila why is there a tricycle terminal?)” the Manila local chief executive asked.

To get to the bottom of it, the mayor decided to head straight to a police station which was only a block away.

When he got to the station, the commanding officer was not around, and neither was the next ranking police official.

This situation got the Manila mayor riled up, prompting him to order the policemen to come walk with him outside, and show them the illegal terminal.

“Halika kayo dito tuturuan ko kayo kung paano magtrabaho (Come with me I’ll show you it’s done),” he said.

After a few minutes walking, the Mayor and the policemen from Station 9 reached the area. During their stroll, Mayor Moreno berated the police officers for being seemingly apathetic to what was going on in their community.

“Isang bloke lang ang layo sa inyo di n’yo nakikita ‘to? O wala na lang talaga kayong pakialam? (This is just a block away from your station and yet you failed to see this. Or is it simply that you do not care anymore?),” he said.

The area was dirty and dank with the smell of urine, the mayor pointed out.

The Manila mayor told the policemen to coordinate in solving the problem with the traffic police, before boarding his SU.

When he got inside, he explained what made him angry upon visiting a police station which apparently had no ranking officer present.

“Paano kung inam-bush yung lahat ng pulis don? (What if all the police officers there were ambushed?),” he asked his viewer.
