Moreno called on patients to show appreciation and gratitude to the health care personnel who serve them in the city-run hospitals, stressing that saying a simple ‘thank you’ is not that difficult.

Speaking before the doctors, nurses and staff of the city-run public hospitals, Moreno also called the workers to stretch their patience when dealing with patients who come for help, especially since they would tend to be overly irritable because of their plight.

“We are involved in the business of ‘people helping people’ kaya hinihingi ko ang malawak na pag-iisip ninyo, kaya nga tayo tinawag na ‘professional,” he added.

Moreno, explained that getting sick robs the poor of the chance for basic daily survival so that they get easily ticked off.

Kaya konting kibot, sumasabog,” he added.
