According to a report by CNN’s affiliate WCBS, Louise Signore celebrated her 107th birthday in Bartow Communicated Center in Coop City and more than 100 people attended.

“I think the secret of 107: I never got married. I think that’s the secret. My sister says, ‘I wish I never got married,” she said in an interview.

She was born in 1912 and lives in Bronx, New York where she maintains a healthy lifestyle.

“If they have exercise, I do the exercise. If they have dancing, I dance. I still do a little dancing. After my lunch, I will play bingo, so I had a full day,” she said.

Longevity seems to run in her family. Her sister is 102 years old.

The oldest living woman in the US is Alelia Murphy, who, at 114, lives in Harlem, New York where Signore was born.

According to the Guinness World Records, the oldest living person in the world as of 2019 is Kane Tanaka from Japan. She’s 116 years old and she was married.
