He said people should start disciplining themselves first if they really want to experience a change in Manila.

“Sana makita rin natin sa ating mga sarili na meron din tayong mga pagkakamali, induced bribery (I hope that we can see to ourselves that we also have fault)," Domagoso said after they caught the traffic enforcer receiving a bribe from a motorist.

“Kung gusto talaga natin magsaayos, siguro ang disiplina nagsisimula rin sa atin…wala masama magpaalala, tayo rin bilang mga mamamayan, konting pagkukusa, pagsunod sa disiplina,” (If we want order, discipline should start within ourselves.. there’s nothing wrong in reminding, we, as citizens of Manila needs initiative, follow the discipline), " he added.

The Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB) officer who was involved in an alleged extortion incident was arrested by police on Monday.

During the press conference at the Manila City Hall, Domagoso confiscated Ricardo Galit’s identification card and removed the traffic enforcer’s vest.

Galit was relieved from duty and charges were filed against him.

“Totoo pong may mali ang aming enforcer dahil tumanggap ng pera sa inyo, or what we call the kotong, totoong may pagkakamali siya (It is true that our officer is wrong because he accepted the bribe money)," Domagoso said.
