Kim lauded Domagoso as someone who was bringing "new dynamism" and "energies" to his position.

The ambassador also praised Domagoso’s public statements regarding the anti-drug campaign.

It can be recalled that he was supporting the drug war but with certain reservations, like upholding human rights.

“We appreciate your approach. You’re dealing with it in a manner that is consistent with human rights and rule of law,” the ambassador told him.

During the meeting, Domagoso shared with the US Ambassador his policies and plans for the City, the core values that influence his mindset and leadership style.

The mayor was accompanied by his chief of staff Cesar Chavez, while Kim was with Internal Political Chief of the Embassy Josh Morris.
