And if the people are not satisfied with his performance, the President has vowed to work harder in serving and protecting the people.

"Alam mo naman ako I do not go for this kind of things. Basta ako, trabaho lang ," he said in an interview with reporters at the Palace Monday.

As always, sinabi ko, if you are satisfied with my work, then I'm happy. If you are not satisfied, then I'll work more," he said.

Duterte said he remains committed to fulfilling his constitutional mandate to protect the people and preserve the nation.

"We consider ourselves workers of government. We serve the people. My oath of office, I will reduce it in two sentences: To protect the people and preserve this nation. And I will do it,” he said.

In survey, 80 percent of the respondents were satisfied with the performance of the President in the second quarter of the year. At least 12 percent are dissatisfied while nine percent are undecided.

The figure gives the President a net satisfaction rating of +68 classified as "very good." This is higher rating compared to his previous record of +66 in March 2019.
