Major General Guillermo Eleazar, National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) director, led the inauguration and blessing of the NPD CLO.

The NPD CLO was one of the affected offices in a fire that hit parts of the Caloocan City Police Station in 2017.

Fifteen years ago, the NPD CLO was awarded the best in Metro Manila.

During his speech, Eleazar said he wants the NPD CLO to serve as "a convenient access to quality service for scientific investigation."

He also said that the inauguration of the new NPD CLO is in line with the Philippine National Police's vision to build a "highly competent and trusted forensic laboratory for the effective delivery of justice through science."

Brigadier General Rolando Anduyan, NPD district director, Lieutenant Colonel Charyl Escaro, NPD CLO chief, and Brigadier General Rolando Hinanay, Crime Laboratory director, also attended the event.
