Teenagers Richard Anson Navo and Erika Nicole Burgos swept top honors in the first-ever Vermosa Sports Hub Sprint Tri held recently at the sprawling sports and training facility in Imus City, Cavite.
Navo finished the 500-meter swim, 20-kilometer bike and 5-kilometer run event in one hour, one minute and 49 seconds to take first place in the 15-17 age-group and the title of fastest male overall.
Burgos was the fastest female overall and the runaway winner in the female 15-17 category clocking in at 1:14:06.
The Vermosa Sports Hub Sprint Tri organized by Bike King with the support of Blackmores Philippines, Smart, hydration partners Pocari Sweat and Sip Purified Water, and official timer Garmin, also staged age-appropriate distances for children aged seven to 14.
