Metro League: San Juan mauls Pasig

Michael Cañete had the hot hand for San Juan on Saturday, anchoring a 108-94 victory over Pasig in the Metro League Reinforced Conference at the San Andres Sports Complex at the San Andres Gym in Manila.

The former Arellano forward fired 34 points on 13-of-18 shooting including 5-of-8 from distance with six rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block for Solid San Juan, which broke loose in the final frame after dropping 34 points on Pasigueño.

Fidel Castro added 17 points, four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block, while Ray Miller contributed 16 markers, 15 boards, one dime, two blocks, and two steals for Solid San Juan.

Eugene Toba put up 22 markers, seven caroms, two assists, three swats, and one steal for Pasigueño.
