Metro League: Manila clobbers undermanned Marikina

Manila started off slow against an undermanned Marikina five but eventually found their rhythm to come out with a 112-88 home win in the Metro League Reinforced Conference at the San Andres Sports Complex on Saturday.

Behind a balanced attack, the Stars gradually distanced themselves from the Shoelanders.

Almel Orquina led six Manila players in double figures 19 points alongside two rebounds and three steals off the bench for Manila.

Moustapha Arafat added 18 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and three steals helping Manila clinch the last quarterfinals seat.

Mel Mabigat exploded for 35 points, 19 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one block for Marikina, which only fielded in five players in the game.

Irvin Mendoza chipped in 13 points, 12 boards, four dimes, one block, and two steals.
