Barangay Looc Chairman Joselito Cane of Danao City, Cebu faced a citizen's arrest after he was caught buying votes in a resort.
Obtained from him were a hand-held radio, cell phone, and a payroll filled with names and sample ballots. According to a radio report from DZBB, he also had in his possession P10,000 in P500 bills.
He was brought to the Danao Police Station, where he was subsequently released. However, the police are already planning to file a vote-buying case against him.
