The Robredo sisters took to social media to greet their mother on her 54th birthday.

In her greeting, Aika described the Vice President as “everything I aspire to be.”

“I can only hope I will turn out to be as loving, hardworking, level-headed, and beautiful. Love you and I always have your back, Ma!!” Robredo’s eldest daughter tweeted.

Tricia called her mother her “North Star,” who has always been “stern, more structured and stoic.”

“You were never the type to tell us to follow our hearts, because you are the first to ask us keep it in check. And in a world where it would be excusable to fall into the cycle of bickering, breaking, and living in hate, you wouldn’t take excuses and you’d remind us to stay our course,” she wrote on Facebook.

The Vice President was also greeted by her youngest daughter, Jillian, who is studying biomolecular science at New York University in the United States.

“To my favorite roommate, Korean skincare expert, very own marie kondo, my bff and my home, happy happy birthday @lenirobredo! Wish I was there to hold your hand today (& everyday chz) see you in a month, labs na labs,” she wrote on Instagram.

Robredo, who was born on April 23, 1965 in Naga, Camarines Sur, had dinner with Tricia and Aika in a restaurant on the eve of her birthday.

Robredo, a former housing chief, was scheduled to meet multi-sectoral groups during the launch of her “Ahon Laylayan” coalition and attend a graduation ceremony in Marawi.

It was her first time to spend her birthday outside Quezon City since she becoming Vice President. Robredo typically spent her “quiet” birthdays in her office and at home.
