As of press time, the oil firms that already advised on gasoline price adjustments effective 6 a.m. on Today (April 23) had been Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation, PTT Philippines and PetroGazz while the rest of the industry players are anticipated to follow.

Prior to this round of adjustment, prevailing gasoline prices in Metro Manila as monitored by the Department of Energy (DOE) were at ranges of P51.39 to P63.56 per liter.

International prices had not moved that much last week, hence, the more stable prices being reflected also this week in the domestic market.

This is somehow a break from the series of massive price hikes that made dent on consumers pockets, including during the travel days of the recent Holy Week.
