Samsung Electronics Philippines Corp. held an obstacle course challenge to officially launch its new line of Galaxy Wearables in the Philippines. Held at Pretty Huge Obstacles in SM Aura, the action-packed event gathered members of the media to try out the tech company’s wearables at Asia’s first multi-level obstacle course race training facility.

Wearing the ergonomic Galaxy Buds and the stylish Galaxy Watch Active, challengers were faced with ten exciting stations to conquer while getting in the zone and tracking their progress with Samsung’s cutting-edge wearables. The obstacle course challenge demonstrated the Galaxy Buds’ and the Galaxy Watch Active’s ability to adapt to dynamic and physically demanding lifestyles—lives that today’s on-the-go and tech-savvy people lead.

Get in the zone with the Galaxy Buds

Launched last March 8, the Samsung Galaxy Buds help users focus and achieve their goals with its comfortable design, superb sound quality, and seamless connectivity with compatible devices. The wireless earbuds are tuned by AKG, delivering up to six hours of music or five hours of talk time on a single charge.

The Galaxy Buds connect instantly to a smartphone via Bluetooth and can be charged wirelessly by the Galaxy S10 as well. Available in black and white, the new Samsung Galaxy Buds are priced at PHP 6,990. An online exclusive Galaxy Buds in yellow will also be launched soon.

Keep a holistic lifestyle on track with the Galaxy Watch Active

Samsung also released the sleek Galaxy Watch Active—the smart coach for a healthier lifestyle. It is a personal trainer that monitors exercise, sleep, stress, and health levels. The device allows for easy fitness tracking by automatically detecting common activities such as running, biking, rowing, and using the elliptical trainer. Wearers can manually select up to 40 different workouts, set daily goals, and monitor their progress.

The Galaxy Watch Active promotes everyday peace of mind by monitoring tension levels with its Stress Tracker. Breath Session aids in bringing back balance after a long day, while the integrated heart rate monitor sends alerts when an irregular heart rate is detected. The device also tracks the four stages of sleep, so those who use it can review the quality of rest they had overnight.

The Galaxy Watch Active is part of an intelligent ecosystem that connects Samsung devices. Bixby’s voice capabilities enable wearers to make calls or send customizable messages using speech-to-text without picking up their Samsung smartphone. They can also sync their devices to pool data like workout information. The smartwatch can be charged through the Wireless PowerShare by placing them against a Galaxy device. Fused in a sleek and streamlined design, the watch’s lightweight body makes it comfortable to wear even in the most vigorous of workouts. Its attractive and minimalist design makes it easy to navigate and pair with any style of clothing. The watch face can easily be customized to reflect the wearer’s personality.

Available in Black and Rose Gold, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active is now available nationwide for P 11,990.
