At a grand event themed #LevelUPToV15Pro held in Bonifacio Global City last week, Vivo Philippines officially unveiled the new Vivo V15Pro and V15 smartphones. Graced by Vivo executives, partners, influencers, and members of the local media, attendees got a chance to have a close encounter with the two new offerings.

Beginning with the highlight feature of the V15Pro and the V15, the two smartphones feature the Elevating Selfie Camera. Switching to the selfie mode, the hidden front camera module pops out on the top side of the handsets. By adopting this feature, Vivo has successfully made the ample Ultra FullView Displays of the V15Pro and the V15 not only bezel-less, but also notch-free, resulting in a seamless, streamlined smartphone design.

The Elevating Selfie Camera carries a 32-megapixel module, while the back of the V15Pro and the V15 carries a triple camera system. Going beyond the presence of multiple image sensors and enormous megapixel count, the cameras of the V15Pro and the V15 are equipped with artificial intelligence (AI). With AI features such as the AI Super Night Mode and AI Super Wide-Angle Camera, the two smartphones are capable of adjusting the camera settings and enhancing the captured images based on data.

To back the AI capabilities of the 6.39-inch V15Pro and the 6.53-inch V15, Vivo has equipped the phones with powerful processors. The V15 Pro comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675AIE octa-core chip with 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM. Meanwhile, the V15 carries a MediaTek P70 octa-core chip with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM. Both devices run on Vivo’s very own Funtouch OS 9 (based on Android 9.0 Pie OS). Although the two phones have the same 32-megapixel selfie camera, they differ in terms of the megapixel count of their rear cameras: 48MP + 8MP + 5MP for the V15Pro and 12MP + 8MP + 5MP for the V15.

In terms of security, the V15Pro integrates the 5th Generation In-Display Fingerprint Scanning technology, eliminating the hassle of inputting a passcode or presence of an additional fingerprint sensor. This feature also contributes to the streamlined design and seamless user experience that the phone offers.

The Vivo V15Pro is packed with a 3700mAh battery, whereas the V15 houses a 4000mAh module, both smartphones promising to offer fast-charging and lengthy life. Available in Topaz Blue and Glamour Red (Ruby Red for the V15), the V15Pro and V15 are now available for preorder, priced at P23,999 and P17,999 respectively.
