The Intramuros Administration (IA) will be hosting free outdoor movie screenings next month featuring two Filipino period films.

Dubbed “Intramuros Open Cinema”, the screenings will take place at the Puerto Real Gardens inside the historic walled city on April 6 and 7, the IA announced recently.

The period films that will be screened are 'Honor: The Legacy of Jose Abad Santos,' which is a full length documentary that shows the life and heroic legacy of former Chief Justice Jose Abad Santos; and 'Ang Larawan' a musical film that is based on the three-act play "A Portrait of the Artist as Filipinos" written by National Artist for Literature Nick Joaquin.

The initiative will be in celebration of the 40th anniversary of IA, and in commemoration of the Day of Valor on April 9.

It will be held in partnership with the Philippine World War II Memorial Foundation and Culturtain Musicat Productions, Inc., the IA said.

Individuals who are interested to attend the screenings are advised to check out the Facebook event pages of both movies in order to book the tickets.

The screenings will start at 6 p.m. "Please be at the venue at least 30 minutes before the film. Present your Eventbrite tickets at the gate," the IA reminded.
