Troops of Charlie Company of the Army's 57th Infantry Battalion discovered an abandoned enemy camp with running trenches, foxholes and sniper bunkers that can accommodate with more or less 20 persons in Barangay Magaslong, Datu Piang, Maguindanao.

The troops were able to recover a rifle scope, an antenna, assorted empty shells, wires and nails, one solar panel with battery, one passport, medical supplies, anti-personnel mine components, cellphone, and assorted documents.

“This is not a victory announcement, but a significant progress in the fight against the BIFF and the Daesh Ispired Group,” said Maj. Gen. Cirilito E. Sobejana, the Commander 6th Infantry Division.

“We do not want to give them the opportunity to gather and create fear in the community, but instead we will sustain our focused military operation to end this amuck in the society,” he added.
