LPA leaves PAR; fair weather expected in Metro Manila

The low pressure area (LPA), which was formerly tropical depression “Chedeng” has already left the Philippine area of responsibility on Thursday.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the ridge of high pressure area (HPA), an anti-cyclone system, will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon.

Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
The public is advised to be alert against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the ridge of HPA will bring fair weather with only partly cloudy skies over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

PAGASA continued to advise those with small seacrafts not to set sail into the eastern coast of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao due to big waves generated by the northeasterly winds.

The rest of the country will only have slight to moderate seas.
