DAVAO CITY — A number of Filipino doctors here will soon undergo a course facilitated by European specialists, focusing on deceased organ transplant.
The Philippines was among the four countries who were recipients of the competitive grant called the Organ Donation Innovative and Strategies for Southeast Asia.
The program is under the Erasmus Plus grant program, a funding scheme supported by the European Union to allow applicants pursue further studies.
On Tuesday, Maria Paula Gomez, executive director of the non-profit Barcelona-based Donation and Transplantation Institute, said the program will be inaugurated this week.
