Over P40 million was won by a lone Mega Lotto 6/45 bettor from Recto, Manila during Friday night's draw, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said.

Lawyer Marissa Medrano, PCSO spokesperson, said the winning combination was 22-11-29-01-06-04.

The Mega Lotto had a total jackpot prize of P41,890,804. 60.

Due to the TRAIN Law, 20 percent tax will be automatically deducted from the pot money. Therefore, the lucky bettor will take home P33, 512, 643. 68.

The government, meantime, will get P8, 378, 160. 92, which is 20 percent of the Mega Lotto jackpot prize.

To claim the prize, the bettor must go to PCSO's main office in Madaluyong City, and present two IDs so he/she could get a cheque.

"It is the fourth time that Mega Lotto was won this year. So buy your tickets early to get a chance to become the next PCSO lotto millionaire," Medrano said.

PCSO reminded the public that a big portion of its revenues goes to charity, saying people should continue patronizing the agency's games.

"At PCSO, you don't just get a chance to become a millionaire, but at the same time, you get to help people in need," she said
