6th ID awards medals and plaques to outgoing IMT

The International Monitoring Team (IMT) Mindanao Mission 13 Malaysia led by Major General Dato Hj Mohd Nazir Bin Hj Mami with 14 other members were awarded the Bronze Cross and the Military Merit Medals for their support rendered and extended to the Army's 6th Infantry Division during their stay for the entire year.

The awarding was done at the Hall of Flags at Camp Siongco, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao, following an arrival honor according to Maj. Gen. Nazir on Tuesday, March 12, 2019.

Major General Nazir expressed all praises for the warm hospitality accorded to him and his team by the Kampilan troopers.

He also mentioned that his experience was one of a kind since the challenges in southern Philippines is quite different and special.

The IMT Mindanao Mission 13 Malaysia will be leaving the country after a year of deployment in Southern Philippines.

On the other hand, Major General Cirilito E. Sobejana, the Commander of 6th Infantry Division, also expressed his gratitude for the professionalism that the team has shown.

"Today, we give honor to people who supported and worked with us for an entire year.  We give due recognition to their untiring effort in reinforcing us with our mandate to maintain peace and order in Central Mindanao", he said.
