GENERAL SANTOS CITY – The Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) has strengthened its campaign against misfits and scalawag within its ranks wherein more than 90 police personnel have been charged with administrative cases ranging from grave misconduct to absent without leave (AWOL) since September last year.
Supt. Aldrin Gonzales, PRO-12 spokesman, said six of the policemen, who were charged, were eventually dismissed from the police service.
He said Chief Supt. Eliseo Rasco, PRO-12 director, has ordered an internal cleansing within the rank and file of PR0-12 after he assumed the post in August last year.
Gonzales said Rasco wanted to ensure that PNP personnel assigned in PRO-12 will serve as assets to the police organization.
PRO-12 has jurisdiction over the provinces of Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and General Santos City.
Rasco had warned police scalawags that corresponding administrative sanctions will be imposed for those policemen who are remiss in their job.
He stressed that the PNP is leading the campaign against illegal drugs, criminality and corruption espoused by President Rodrigo Duterte and it is only but proper that it will lead by example in cleansing its ranks with misfits.
