“DA Arnell turned in his resignation letter, which is subject to acceptance by the Office of the President as appointing authority. The letter cited personal reasons for the resignation,” Cacdac said.

However, Ignacio also refused to disclose the reason for his resignation. He instead said he would hold a press briefing later this week.

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III also has accepted his resignation but he has not released an official statement on Ignacio’s resignation.

President Rodrigo Duterte appointed Ignacio as deputy executive director V of OWWA on Jan. 23, 2018.

Ignacio was the assistant vice president for community relations and services at the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation in 2016 before he became the OWWA deputy administrator.
