Explosions rock Lanao del Norte a day before the plebiscite

Lanao del Norte - Two separate explosions rocked the province a day before the plebiscite.

The first blast went off in front of a gasoline station in Lala town at 4:35 p.m. Another explosion was heard in Kauswagan fifteen minutes later. No casualties were reported in both incidents.

“The PNP Explosive Ordnance Division is currently determining the type of explosives and identifying the culprits,” 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade commander Brigadier General Thomas Sedano, Jr., said.

The military assures the public they are on top of the situation and that residents can safely exercise their rights to vote.

"Rest assured that the Tabak troopers and the PNP will respond to any eventualities that will emerge during and after the BOL election,"1st Tabak Division Commander Major General Roseller Murillo said.
