Business tycoon and Philippines' richest man Henry Sy, Sr., will be laid to rest on Thursday.
SM Supermalls announced on Twitter Thursday that Sy’s interment is scheduled today, Jan. 24, 2019, at the Heritage Park in Taguig City.

“His wife, Felicidad; his children Teresita, Elizabeth, Henry Jr., Hans, Herbert and Harley & their spouses; his grandchildren and great grandchildren request all those whose lives he touched to pray for the eternal repose of his soul,” the statement read.
On Jan. 19, Saturday, Sy, 94, died “peacefully in his sleep.”
“As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to Tatang’s beloved scholarship program through SM Foundation, Inc. in place of flowers,” the statement added.
On Wednesday night, SM Mall of Asia globe in Pasay was lit with the message “Thank you, Tatang!” to honor its founder.
