BOC Subic, Clark surpass collection targets for 2018

SUBIC FREEPORT- The Bureau of Customs (BOC) here and in Clark surpassed their respective revenue collection targets in 2018 that was noted to have contributed largely to helping the agency achieve over-all collection amounting to P585.542 billion.

Based on a report from the Office of Commissioner Leonardo Guerrerro, the port of Subic, led by its District Collector Atty Rhea M. Gregorio, was able to collect a total of P22.341 billion in revenue, exceeding its target by P1.171 billion or by 5.5 percent.

On the other hand, the Port of Clark collected a total of P1.935 billion in revenues, exceeding its target by P378 million or by 24.3 percent.

Guerrero reported that the tax collection of the bureau in 2018 grew by 27.8 percent, compared with last year’s total revenue collection of P458.183 billion.

BOC data showed that 14 of the 17 Collection Districts were reached their annual revenue collection targets.
