172 cleanest Bulacan barangays awarded

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan - The provincial government of Bulacan honored 172 barangays with steering cleanliness and orderliness records during the 2018 Gawad Parangal para sa Kalinisan at Kaayusan ng Kapaligiran sa Barangay at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium last Thursday.

Awardees were given certificates of recognition and P20,000 for the 14 first placers, P15,000 for the 56 second placers and P10,000 for the 102 third placers.

Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that he was grateful that barangay officials in Bulacan are supportive of the province’s agenda to maintain a clean and orderly community.

“To be able to sustain development kinakailangan malinis at maayos ang kapaligiran. Habang patungo tayo sa ganap na pagbabago, kayo ang first line of defense at kinikilala natin ang lahat ng inyong mga pagsisikap mula ng inilunsad ito noong 2014,” Alvarado said.

Guest speaker and former Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go, took the opportunity to announce the establishment of a Malasakit Center at the Bulacan Medical Center which will extend due assistance to hospitalized Bulacan residents.
