ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police authorities in this city are preparing charges against a housewife for selling shabu worth P1.2 million to a police pursuer buyer, and for the close to one kilo of the illegal substance that was confiscated from her.

Police Regional Office for Zamboanga Peninsula Director Chief Supt Emmanuel Luis D Licup identified the suspect as Marisa Wee, who is also known as Indah, 32, married, a housewife and a resident of Purok 11 Acasia Drive Upper Calarian in this city.

Her residence is located just a few meters from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Western Mindanao Command (AFP-WestMinCom) headquarters in this city.

Licup said the raiding team recovered from Wee a large transparent self-sealing bag, containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 1.007 kilogram with an estimated market value of P6.8 million.

Also taken from her were a paper bag containing 12 bundles of boodle money, a Bureau of International Revenue (BIR) identification card, a cellular phone, and a fragmentation grenade.

The raiding police team said Wee’s cohort, identified as Mayong Ilang Kamlon, was able to elude arrest after sensing of the police operation.

Kamlon reportedly ran over a blocking force of the police operation just to make good his escape.
