CAMP GEN. PANTALEON GARCIA, IMUS, Cavite – A buy-bust operation in Baranagay Pasong Camachile II, General Trias on Friday resulted in the arrest of a drug suspect who yielded an estimated 11.7 million worth of shabu, the Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) reported on Saturday.

Superintendent Paul T. Bometivo, General Trias police chief, identified the suspect as John Kaurak Macmod, alias "Jhony."

Bometivo said that Macmod was in the drug watch list of Philipine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Cotabato.

The arrest was made by the local Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) team after a tip -off and surveillance.

The team nabbed the suspect shortly after an undercover agent paid for 21 sachets of shabu weighing 1.728 kilos with a street value of P11.7 million Friday afternoon.

The suspect, however, did not know that he was paid marked money worth only P220,000.

Bometivo said that appropriate drug-relted charges will be filed against Macmod, who is under the custody of the General Trias police.
