The 1st Young Builders Challenge is inspired by the LafargeHolcim Foundation’s Sustainable Construction Competition – Next Generation. It is a sustainable design competition which aims to give recognition to young Filipinos whose projects and visionary concepts go beyond balancing environmental performance, social responsibility and economic growth.
The Young Builders Challenge is open to visionary projects and bold ideas that address the “target areas” for sustainable construction. These projects must contribute positively to the environment and the community, and must be pioneering in delivering sustainable innovative designs towards the development of construction and green building (e.g., residential, commercial, public). All authors must be undergraduate Filipino students in the program of architecture and engineering in any college or university in the Philippines.
