By George!

Before bagging the Mr. Universal Ambassador 2018 title in India, George Reylor De Lumen was my guest for the season opener of our YouTube show, WTFu. (Sakin muna dumaan si koya!)

We taped the episode a week before he left Manila. He shared his experience in the National Pageant and his preparations for the international competition (next time ibang experience naman ang i-share!). He also survived the “I-FU talk ko na” questions. (Kahit medyo pinagpawisan s’ya at nanginig!)

As soon as we uploaded the episode, it got a lot of views. (100 thousand views a day ha!) It even became more popular right after he bagged the international title (pwede pang panuorin, ’di yan napapanis!). He even messaged me when he arrived in Manila: “Thank you Mr.Fu! We made it! Iba tayo!” (Parang bigla akong naligiran ng luha sa kanang mata, chos!)

George bested 19 candidates. “Feeling ko non, pinakamatindi kong kalaban ay Malaysia, Sweden, Indonesia, and Thailand,” he said. “Pero kinarir ko talaga ’yung laban. I was really eyeing the crown.” (Ay, may korona pa talaga ha!)

He believes one of the reasons he won was his answers in the Q&A portion. (Sagutin mo na nga ako, bro!)

“Most challenging part is the one-on-one interview which is 50 percent of the total score. Talagang binuhos ko na ang lahat doon and I’m proud to say na nag-number one ako sa portion na ’yun,” George shared. (Ikaw na ang number one sa puso ko, bro!)

The 23-year-old model is set to sign a contract with Mr. Universal Ambassador pageant organizers in Indonesia. “I would like to travel the world and promote Mr. Universal ambassador’s advocacies,” he said. (Travel tayo, bro!)
Aside from dreaming of having an international modeling career, he also wants to try Philippine show business. (At dahil d’yan, ako na ang leading lady mo!)

“Ultimate goal ko talaga is to enter showbiz. Gusto ko maging serious actor. Dream ko magkaroon ng rom-com movie with Alex Gonzaga,” George said. (Ako, serious na ata ako sayo, bro!)

The Global Career Access Multimedia Arts graduate has this to say to aspiring male pageant contestants: “Don’t be afraid to try. Even if you fail, there’s a lesson to be learned there and that lesson will make us a better person. Believe in the power of your dreams.” (You are the man of my dreams, bro! Push!)
