8,155 out of 8,701 finish 2018 Bar exams -- SC

Eight thousand one hundred fifty-five law graduates finished the four-Sunday bar examinations for 2018 held at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Manila.

The Supreme Court’s Office of the Bar Confidant said 546 law graduates failed to take or complete the tests.

From the confirmed and accepted applicants of 8,701 aspiring lawyers, 543 of them failed to appear during the first Sunday last November 4. Two more failed on the second Sunday and one on the last Sunday of the examinations.

Eight subjects were covered by the examinations. These are on Civil Law, Criminal Law, Labor Law, Legal Ethics and Practical Exercises, Mercantile Law, Political Law, Taxation, and Remedial Law.

Traditionally, results of the annual bar examinations are announced in April or May of the following year.
