But the arrest of Police Officer 2 Yob Enguio on Sunday morning has nothing to do with shabu or any illegal drugs but for allegedly running an illegal cockfighting operation in Muntinlupa City.

Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat, head of the Counter-Intelligence Task Force (CITF), said the operation stemmed from the complaint of local residents about a weekly cockfighting in their community.

"The cockfighting is reportedly being held every Sunday. And based on one of the complaints, it is being managed by a policeman," said Caramat.

At around 10 a.m. on Sunday, police raided the area tipped by local residents to be at Purok in Barangay Bayanan and resulted in the arrest of Enguio and five others.

Confiscated from those arrested were four fighting cocks, two pieces of tari which is a sharp and pointed blade attached to one of the legs of the fighting cocks and bet money amounting to P8,600.

Based on the background check, Enguio is included in the list of President Duterte of personalities involved in illegal drugs.

He used to be restricted at the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) headquarters at Camp Bagong Diwa as investigation on his alleged drug involvement was being done.

Last year, Enguio is among the more than 100 cops from Metro Manila who were transported to Basilan for his alleged involvement in the recycling of illegal drugs.

It was learned that Enguio was allowed to go back to Metro Manila a few weeks ago to attend court hearings.

Enguio was immediately taken to the CITF headquarters at Camp Crame. He is facing both criminal and administrative charges
