Comelec releases tentative list of candidates

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Monday released the tentative list of candidates for the May 13, 2019 national and local polls and urged aspirants to check their names that would appear on the official ballot.

The tentative list includes 185 party-list groups–124 duly-registered groups, 33 with pending motions for reconsideration, five with pending petitions for registration, and 23 others.

"Aspirants are encouraged to check their names to appear on the official ballots,” the Comelec said.

Included in the tentative list are 185 party-list groups, 124 of which are duly-registered groups, 33 with pending motions for reconsideration, 5 with pending petitions for registration, and 23 others.

The 124 duly-registered groups are the following:

Comelec has set November 29 as the last day to file a Request for Correction on the name that would appear on the official ballot.

No request for correction shall be entertained after said date.

The Comelec is expected to come out with the final list of candidates next month.
